This site is devoted to recording the creation and production of a collaboratively directed Reader's Theatre production of Ginger Mayerson's novella, "Darkness at Sunset and Vine." The site is currently a work in progress and will be updated as the production develops.

About the Director

Performance dates

Dr. Kelly S. Taylor is an associate professor in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of North Texas.  Below are links to other creative research projects Dr. Taylor has directed in previous years:

The production was invited to perform at the Petit Jean Performance Festival in the last weekend of March 2008.

The production was also performed at the Southern States Communication Association's annual convention in the first weekend of April 2008. This convention was held in Savannah, Georgia.

Finally, "Darkness" had a run at the University of North Texas during the second week of April, 2008

Ginger Mayerson lives in Los Angeles, California.  Originally trained as a composer, she now writes novels, poetry, essays, reviews, interviews, makes collages, and edits the Journal of the Lincoln Heights Literary Society and publishes books and magazines at the Wapshott Press in her spare time.
